Ladybugs are considered good luck in the Chinese culture, and therefore, have also become a special sign in the Chinese adoption community. They are a reminder of the miracle of adoption and of each different but equally remarkable adoption story. Orphan care and adoption has been in my heart since the day I found out I would be getting a baby sister from China. To put it metaphorically, I have been "chasing ladybugs" for a while now, and I hope to continue chasing them for the rest of my life.
