China-Two Weeks from today!
I can't believe it! We (me, my mom, dad, and sister) are leaving for China in exactly two weeks! We are adopting an 18-month old girl from China. Her Chinese name is Dang Shi Yao, and the name we gave her is Chloe Grace Shiyao Cook. We got the referral June 22nd of this year, along with three pictures from when she was 7 months old. We asked for more updated pictures and got them in July. They were from when she was fifteen months. In September, we got the finalized dates!! We are leaving on October 20, 2010!!! It's come here so quickly, and I can't believe its already time!
I kind of know what to expect because we went in 2005 to get my other little sister, Hannah. She is five years old, and she is excited too!! We are all busy around here, packing and getting ready for the trip. I am kind of worried about school because last time I was in second grade. Now that I'm in seventh grade, I have a lot more work to do. Last time, they just gave me a bunch of worksheets to do, and I was caught up. This time, they can't just give me worksheets, so I don't know what I'll have to do. The flight to China leaves at 12:30-when I'm supposed to be sleeping...!! We have to leave the house at 9:30 so we can get there early enough for everything we have to do at the airport. ZZZZZZZ!!!!!!! haha!!
I am out of school for intersession this week, so I have time to think about what I'm going to pack. I'm glad about that, and that makes these two weeks go by way faster!! I only have eight more days of school when you think about it, and then I'm missing twelve! Two more weeks-- wow!!!
