GOTCHA DAY!!!!!!!

       Wow! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!! I can't believe we FINALLY got her! We went to the Adoption Center in Harbin, hoping to find Chloe Grace was already there. When we got there, though, they said that Chloe was delayed due to traffic. We had to wait for two more hours!! The wait seemed ENDLESS, but we finally made it through. As Chloe Grace walked in I held back tears, hoping she would love me and my family from the start. The first thing I thought when I saw here was "Oh my goodness, she's so TINY!!" She is supposed to be 18 months old, but she is so small. Her actions are also that of a younger baby. They gave her to Mama first, and Chloe didn't cry at all. There was a slight wimper, but after Mama held her for a while it looked as though they had known each other from the start. I was so excited for her, but I was also a little jealous! I finally persuaded Mama to give Chloe Grace to me, although it was difficult! When she came into my arms, she didn't cry or wimper. She looked at me for a while, then laid her head on my chest. I almost cried because we weren't expecting her to act so calm. I reasoned that she was probably tired from the two hour car ride, and that she would probably cry later. I was wrong, though! We got to the hotel and we had to wait in the lobby for a few minutes. Chloe Grace sat in my lap and soon became very playful. It didn't take long to get a smile and laugh out of her! We got into the hotel room, but no cries. After a while, Mama had to change her diaper. This was the first time she cried, but it was such a cute cry, I had to stop myself from laughing! She has babbled since, and her voice is just the sweetest thing. I have to give my apologies to my language teacher, Mrs. Moore, who I didn't believe when she told me Chloe was going to love us from the start! We have to go do some final adoption paperwork, so I need to leave! I'll post some more about  Gotcha Day soon, but bye for now!
