Harbin through recent Guangzhou!
This is my favorite picture of me holding Chloe Grace. She smiles a lot bigger and cuter, but it's soooo hard to get in a picture! We are in the doorway of the hotel room in Harbin.
Hannah by a tree in Harbin. You can see her winter clothes--it's freezing up there! I'm not sure what's up with the tree...
Mama really wanted a picture with Chloe Grace's, Hannah's, and my hands together like this. You can probably tell whose is whose! Still in Harbin.
Now we are in Guangzhou. This is Chloe Grace at the medical exam. I couldn't go in any of the rooms, (partly because I wouldn't have and partly because Mama and Daddy wanted me to watch Hannah outside) especially the one with shots. Chloe Grace doesn't even like us touching her and changing her clothes-so complete strangers were freaking her out big-time!
This is Chloe Grace and Hannah outside one of the stores Mama and I were in. They are also by the river, but you can't see it in the photo.
We aren't staying at the White Swan, but we have to go there to meet with the group. We got there early one day, so we decided to take some pictures with the cool stuff in one of the rooms. We just had to make sure Hannah didn't touch--very expensive-looking stuff!!
This warrior dude is TALL. If you know how tall I am, you can see. I thought he was kinda scary, so I wanted my picture taken with him. Kind of an oxymoron, but oh well.
This is Chloe Grace in her high chair at the 'High Tea' we had with the other Holt families. She was a pretty happy baby--free buffet!!
We took this picture from on top of our boat from the riverboat cruise. Like I said, the buildings in Guangzhou are LIT UP. This was the tallest building. You can't tell, (because it's a picture--duh!) but it changes colors every like five seconds. it was awesome!!
This building is really annoying because it won't stay blue and green long enough for your dad to take a picture of it! Just kidding. This was probably the most impressive building because of the changing colors. I really liked the top of that boat!
This looks like a huge famous bridge, but really, I don't even know which one it was. They have so many bridges along the river, and all of them are lit up similar to this. This one was the prettiest, so (I thought) we took tons of pictures of it. We got to go under it and everything. It changes colors too!
We are walking to the White Swan hotel to meet with the group so we can go to the zoo! We were all excited, but weren't expecting a zoo that nice!
The disappointing part of the zoo was that Chloe Grace didn't feel good that day. All she wanted was Daddy to hold her, and she cried a lot. We blame it on the shots. Seriously.
You know how I was talking about the deranged giraffe? Here he is! I seriously think he was messed-up because he was just standing there half biting half licking the poor tree. Then, he started making faces at us. I should put a picture of that on here, too. If you click on the pictures, I think it makes them bigger, so you can see this giraffe licking the tree up-close and personal. This was one of the bigger ones, and suddenly, I didn't feel so tall!
These cubs are in the Animal nursery, and they are sooooo cute!!! They were play fighting, and it was all I could do not to take one home!
Monkey. He sure gave us a show. He was flipping around and tossing his blanket up on the rope. He was pretty cute, too!
Elephants!! This is not a baby elephant, but we did see one.
Me and Hannah in front of the Panda bears!!
I got to feed this giraffe!

Esther and I are so sad that this is probably the last post from China, but we are excited that soon you'll be here. This trip has seen you on a roller coaster of emotions, the highs and lows of family life. This has made you an even more interesting person, and I'm convinced one day it will help you minister to others in life.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you all this morning as you wing across the ocean. Hope CG will sleep the whole way, and be calm and relaxed.
